AGENDA ITEM NO. 6A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: February 10, 2003 <br />TOPIC: Consideration of Resolution 03 -21, Approving <br />Quitclaim Deed for Trail Easement, Outlot A, <br />Pheasant Hills Preserve 4th Addition <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The paved trail located along the north side of Birch Street between Pheasant Hills <br />Drive and Sherman Lake Road is located on property currently owned by the Pheasant <br />Hills Preserve Homeowners Association. A map depicting the existing trail is attached. <br />The Pheasant Hills Preserve Homeowners Association has agreed to permit the City of <br />Lino Lakes to acquire a fifteen feet wide trail easement where the trail is located. The <br />survey and legal description is attached. The trail easement will provide public access <br />for this trail. The City of Lino Lakes will assume responsibility for maintenance. <br />Staff recommends approval of Resolution 03 -21 directing the City Attorney to execute <br />the quitclaim deed for a fifteen feet wide trail easement on Outlot A, Pheasant Hills <br />Preserve 4th Addition. <br />OPTIONS <br />1.
