CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03-38 <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AMENDMENT TO THE BOUNDARIES <br />OF THE RICE CREEK CHAIN OF LAKES PARK RESERVE TO INCORPORATE <br />THE ST. PAUL WATER SERVICES AGENCY PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes contains numerous and unique natural resources <br />AND WHEREAS, The greenways provide for the preservation of natural resources and linkages <br />for plant, animal, and human connections, <br />AND WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes desires to preserve the environmental qualities of the <br />Rice Creek Corridor and the water that flows from this creek into the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes; <br />AND WHEREAS, Creating this greenway will provide buffers and ponding areas adjacent to the <br />creek to allow for protection of our water resource; <br />AND WHEREAS, The Rice Creek Greenway would provide a means to restore, and maintain <br />present unique biologic diversity in the animal and plant community along the greenway; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: That the City supports Anoka County's request to amend the boundaries <br />of the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve to incorporate the St. Paul Water Services <br />Agency property. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 10th day of March, 2003 <br />May. r Jo • Ber: - son <br />Ann Blain, Clerk- Treasurer <br />
