AGENDA ITEM 7F
STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala
DATE: 05/12/03
TOPIC: Resolution No. 03 -64 Authorizing Preparation of an
Environmental Assessment Worksheet for Lakes
Business Park
BACKGROUND:
The developers of Lakes Business Park are proposing to plat approximately 32
acres on Lake Drive to create a site for a potential light industrial user, plus three
outlots for future development.
This size and type of development triggers an Environmental Assessment
Worksheet (EAW) to be completed by the city as the "responsible government
unit" (RGU).
SEH has submitted a proposal and schedule for the completion of this EAW
also. The traffic analysis will take into account both potential developments and
their impact on Lake Drive. The developers will be required to submit an escrow
of 110 percent of the cost of the EAW and will be sharing the cost of the traffic
analysis with developers of the Village project.
This EAW is anticipated to be complete late summer.
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Resolution No. 03 -64 authorizing preparation of an Environmental
Assessment Worksheet for the Lakes Business Park
