110 <br />May 16, 1978 <br />Under Article XXI, it was filt.thetwilkh:)aucambizsation of the Worker's Camp. and <br />the Long Term Disability, this should take care of the salary at the present time, <br />in case of an injury on duty that would result in a long term:disability.` <br />Mr. Bastain presented the following schedule for Uniform allowance; 1978 - $200.00; <br />1979 - $215.00; 1980 - $230.00. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve this. Seconded by <br />Mr. McLean. Motion declared passed. <br />AA new Article XXVI to be added that would set forth the portions of this contract <br />that will not apply to part time personnel. <br />26.1 Overtime <br />26.2 '_Sdika .esae <br />Vacation time for part time personnel was discussed. Vacation time will'.be earned <br />based on completion of 2080 hours of work. <br />18.4 will be added to read "part" time personnel scheduled to work on listed holiday <br />shall receive double pay." <br />26.3 The City will assume the oost of long term disability coverage for part time <br />personnel. <br />26.4 Article XX does not apply to part time personnel. <br />There was discussion of the pro's and con's of the 10% extra salary for the Sgt's <br />position, with no decision being reached. <br />The Clerk was instructed to contact Mr. McGowan for information on the coverage <br />of Long Term Disability - would this be asequate to cover the entire salary? <br />Mr. Bastian left the Council chambers to present these items to the Police Personnel. <br />In the interim, Mr. Schneider reported that Mr..'.Anfinson will be at the June 26, 1978 <br />Council meeting. He also requested the Clerk to get,a'copy of the water and sewer <br />rate study that Mr. Gotwald had gotten for the City. <br />Mayor Earth asked the Clerk to check with Mr. Zaatrow on the estimate for the expansion <br />of the Council table. <br />Mr. Bastian returned. He said the other City Employees have a total of 120 days ac- <br />cumulative neck leave time andthe police want the same number of days. There was <br />some discussion on possibly cutting the other employee benifits to 90 days - the same <br />as is being offered the police personnel, but it was decided, since there is no <br />severance pay, this is'no problem. The Council agreed to theā€¢120 day' aocuaulation. <br />On the overtime pay for the part time personnel, this is the current praotioe and <br />the police personnel felt his should remain the same. There was some disagreement <br />on this with some members feeling that part time employees 'in most oboupations'do not <br />reodive any benefits. Another sesber said this'is the ourrent polioy. Chief Myhre <br />said, with the employment of another full time men, the part'time personnel would only <br />be used for appreximately eight hours per week. Mr. McLean said the overtime of these <br />men oan be controlled and is ansdsinstrative problea. Mr. Kulassewios'soved to leave <br />this clause in the contract. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion was declared passed. <br />On the Matter of having.weekende off, Chief Myhre'is to work with mr. Wieenberger on <br />
