106 <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION 22 APRIL 91 <br />Mayor Bisel called a work session of the Lino Lakes City <br />Council to order at 5 :30 P.M. on Monday 22 April 1991. <br />Council Members present: Neal, Kuether, Reinert, Bohjanen. <br />City Administrator Schumacher, Assistant to the City <br />Administrator Tesch, Fire Chief Bennett and Gene Nelson and <br />Ellen Luken of Winsor Faricy were also present. <br />The purpose of this meeting was to review the site and <br />building plan for the new fire station, as well as to approve <br />the exterior building materials for the station. <br />Ms. Luken presented to the council samples of the bricks <br />(lighter and darker shades of red /brown) and tiles that would <br />be used in the construction of the facility. Ms. Luken went <br />on to explain that the two brick colors would alternate and <br />accent one another as they wrapped around the building. <br />Council member Neal had questions as to the landscaping that <br />Ms. Luken was able to clear up. <br />Council member Kuether inquired as to the number of parking <br />spaces. Ms. Luken responded that there would be from 45 to <br />50. Ms. Luken and Chief Bennett explained to the Council <br />that the County was unable to grant their request for a wider <br />drive way, so the drive way will remain at 32 feet. <br />The building is estimated to cost under $796,000.00 and will <br />be ready for use in the winter of 1992. Depending on the <br />bids, construction could begin as early as June. <br />The work session was adjourned at 6:20 P.M. <br />Page 1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
