1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING JANUARY 27, 1992 <br />FIRST READING, ORDINANCE NO. 04 - 92 INCREASING THE NUMBER OF <br />MEMBERS ON THE PARK BOARD FROM FIVE (5) TO SEVEN (7), DAN TESCH <br />Mr. Tesch explained that during the process of annual <br />appointments, it was felt that with the current City growth it <br />would be best to encourage more input from the residents. It was <br />recommended to increase the membership of the Park Board from <br />five (5) members to seven (7) members to allow for more citizen <br />input. Council Member Neal moved to adopt the first reading of <br />Ordinance No. 04 - 92 increasing the number of Park Board <br />members. Council Member Elliott seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />FIRST READING, ORDINANCE NO. 05 - 92 CHANGING THE NAME OF THE <br />DESIGN REVIEW BOARD TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD AND <br />INCREASING THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS FROM FIVE (5) TO SEVEN (7), DAN <br />TESCH <br />Mr. Tesch explained that the current name of the Design Review <br />Board is often confusing and it has been recommended that it be <br />changed back to the Planning and Zoning Board. It has also been <br />recommended to increase the number of members on this board for <br />the same reasons as recommended for the Park Board. <br />Council Member Neal moved to adopt the first reading of Ordinance <br />No. 05 - 92 changing the name of the Design Review Board to the <br />Planning and Zoning Board and increasing the number of members <br />from five (5) to seven (7) members. Council Member Elliott <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />SECOND READING, ORDINANCE NO. 02 - 92 REZONING OUTLOT A, NORDIN <br />MANOR <br />Mr. Tesch explained that the first reading of this ordinance was <br />held on January 13, 1992. When the second reading is approved, <br />the ordinance will be published and take effect 30 days following <br />the publication. Council Member Neal moved to approve the second <br />reading of Ordinance No. 02 - 92. Council Member Elliott <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 02 - 92 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESCINDING THE CURRENT CITY <br />SEVERANCE POLICY, DAN TESCH <br />Mr. Tesch explained that the current severance policy was adopted <br />without any amount of research. It has been recommended that the <br />Council rescind the current severance pay policy and research a <br />new policy that can be incorporated into the Personnel Policy. <br />PAGE 4 <br />6? <br />
