COUNCIL MINUTES FEBRUARY 24, 1992 <br />there are some federal energy dollars available for heating homes <br />of those who qualify. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to close the public hearing at 7:50 <br />P.M. Council Member Elliott seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Schumacher will take all requests for funding and prepare a <br />recommendation for the City Council to consider on March 9, 1992 <br />as well as a history of where previous CDBG dollars have been <br />spent in the past. <br />CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION NO. 92 - 24 TO THE ANOKA COUNTY BOARD <br />REGARDING FULLY FUNDING THE MOBILE DIGITAL TERMINAL PROJECT <br />(MDT), CHIEF DEAN CAMPBELL <br />The Anoka County Joint Law Enforcement Council is requesting the <br />Anoka County Board to fund a Mobile Digital Terminal Project <br />which would enable Digital Control Terminals to be installed in <br />Anoka County law enforcement police squads throughout the county <br />for the purpose of enhancing patrol officer effectiveness in the <br />field. The cost of the project benefits all residents of the <br />County and should be funded as other such projects in the past, <br />through the Joint Law Enforcement Council. Other municipalities <br />in Anoka County will be considering the same resolution. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to adopt Resolution No. 92 - 24 <br />Calling on Anoka County Board to Fully Fund the Mobile Digital <br />Terminal Project, A Shared Communications Project Benefitting all <br />Anoka County Residents. Council Member Elliott seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 92 - 24 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Consideration of Gambling License, St. Joseph Catholic Church - <br />Mrs. Anderson explained that St. Joseph Catholic Church is a non <br />profit organization and is allowed to conduct five (5) one -time <br />gambling operations each year. The application before the <br />Council this evening is for the Men's Club Bingo and annual <br />event. There have been no problems with these annual events. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to approve a gambling license for <br />St. Joseph Catholic Church.
