1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 26, 1995 <br />The language pertaining to notification of change in the <br />Metropolitan Urban Service Area should specifically state which <br />ordinance it is being added to rather than generally stating <br />ordinances. If this is done, the language in this section is <br />adequate. <br />Mr. Hawkins, in his letter also noted several concerns regarding <br />the form of the petition itself. <br />Mr. Hawkins said he is available to discuss these concerns with <br />the individuals submitting the petition for his review. <br />CONSIDERATION OF AN ADDENDUM TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />GRANT (CDBG) JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES AND THE COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that the City of Lino Lakes and the <br />County of Anoka have a joint Cooperation Agreement allowing the <br />City to participate in the Urban Anoka County Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. <br />The County has sent the City an addendum to the current agreement <br />which includes the following: <br />1. Allowing the city to participate in the HOME Program in <br />addition to the CDBG Program, and <br />2. Changing the term to cover the 1996 -1998 programs, and, <br />3. Addition of definitions required by the change. <br />The County will need the signed addendum returned to them by June <br />30, 1995. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to approve the addendum as presented <br />to include addition of the Home Program, changing the term to <br />cover 1996 -1998 and addition of definitions required by the <br />change. Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF WAIVING OR NOT WAIVING MONETARY LIMITS ON TORT <br />LIABILITY PER MINNESOTA STATUTES 466.04., RANDY SCHUMACHER <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that each year the City has the option <br />of waiving its monetary limits on tort liability to the extent of <br />the limits of the excess liability coverage obtained from the <br />League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust.
