1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 26, 1995 <br />if there is an interest in developing a consortium of entities to <br />develop an Adaptive /Integrated recreation program. Several <br />entities have expressed interest in this approach to programming. <br />Mr. Asleson requested the remaining $3,811.93 in the CDBG Fund be <br />used to hire a person to organize a cooperative program which <br />would be financed and operated by the consortium. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to approve the request to extend the <br />CDBG funds allocated for the pilot integrated recreation program <br />to December 31, 1995 and to hire a temporary person to establish <br />the integrated recreation program. Council Member Neal seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no old business. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Consideration of Minutes for June 12, 1995 - Council Member <br />Elliott moved to approve the minutes as presented. Council <br />Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried with Council <br />Member Kuether abstaining. <br />Recognition of Donna Carlson's Appointment to the Fairview <br />Corporate Board Effective July 1, 1995 - Mayor Reinert explained <br />that Ms. Carlson has been appointed to a newly created board <br />dealing with the future construction of a regional hospital in <br />the I35 corridor north of Forest Lake. He said that Ms. Carlson <br />is a very active and conscientious person and will represent the <br />City well on this board. <br />REMINDER, Special Economic Development Authority Meeting, June <br />29, 1995, 5:00 P.M. <br />REMINDER, Special Council Meeting, June 29, 1995, 5:15 P.M. <br />REMINDER, City Council Budget Work Session, Monday, August 21, <br />1995 <br />Mr. Schumacher noted that a reporter from the legal newspaper has <br />not attended several Council meetings. Mr. Schumacher was <br />directed to write a letter to the legal newspaper requesting the <br />presence of a representative of the newspaper at every Council <br />meeting. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to adjourn at 9:37 P.M.
