COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 14, 1995 <br />to the City Council on that date. Ms. Sullivan explained that the 20/20 Vision group <br />leaders will attend the City Council on that evening to present the final document. <br />Mayor Reinert and the Council thanked Ms. Sullivan for her presentation. <br />CONSIDERATION OF DISBURSEMENTS <br />July 31, 1995 - Council Member Bergeson moved to approve these disbursements as <br />presented. Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />August 14, 1995 - Council Member Bergeson moved to approve these disbursements as <br />presented. Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. Council Member Neal <br />questioned the amount of money paid to Sweeny Brothers Tractor for parts. Action on <br />this matter was delayed until Mr. Schumacher was available to answer the question. <br />Centennial Fire District - Council Member Elliott moved to approved these <br />disbursements as presented. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF THE NORTH CENTRAL SUBURBAN CABLE <br />COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION (NCSCCC) 1996 OPERATIVE BUDGET, <br />DAN TESCH <br />Mr. Tesch explained that each year the proposed budget for the Cable Commission for the <br />following year is brought to the City Council for their consideration. The 1996 proposed <br />budget is $174,491.00 which is an eight (8) percent decrease from 1995. The decrease is <br />a result of some of the decisions made by the NCSCCC such as becoming a non - profit <br />organization that will eventually assume cable access. Mr. Tesch explained that Lino <br />Lakes will be receiving approximately $18,000.00 in franchise fees in 1996. <br />There were no questions from the City Council. Mr. Tesch explained that this item was <br />for informational purposes and did not require City Council action. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 95 - 101 Authorizing the North Central Suburban <br />Cable Communications Commission (NCSCCC) to Enter Into a Memorandum of <br />Understanding with Meredith Cable - Mr. Tesch explained that this resolution requests <br />the NCSCCC cable commission to prepared the necessary cable franchisee ordinance <br />amendments to cause transfer of community programming from Meredith Cable to the <br />NCSCCC. Terms of the transfer include: <br />1. $300,000.00 grant to NCSCCC for operating expenses. <br />2. Assignment of current real- estate and equipment to NCSCCC. <br />3. A guarantee of 15 years of community programming (past the life of the <br />franchise agreement). <br />PAGE 2 <br />
