Council member O'Donnell introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001 -07 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FEASIBILITY <br />STUDY FOR TOWN CENTER <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has prepared a concept plan for the development of that part of the City <br />known as the Town Center, and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has taken certain actions toward the future development of the Town Center <br />area, which include the acquisition of property, discussions with developers, discussions with the YMCA, and <br />an application for a Livable Communities Grant from the Metropolitan Council, and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council at this time desires to explore the financial impacts and alternatives relative to <br />the future development of the Town Center, and, <br />WHEREAS, staff has prepared an outline of the scope for an Economic Development Feasibility Study to <br />explore such impacts and alternatives, has obtained quotes from consultants for the preparation of such a <br />study, and has recommended Springsted, Inc. as the consultant for the study. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LINO LAKES that the preparation of <br />an Economic Development Feasibility Study for the Town Center is hereby authorized, and that Springsted, <br />Inc. shall be the consultant retained to prepare said study at a cost not to exceed $12,500 in accordance with <br />their letter of proposal. The study is to be completed by April 1, 2001.
