Council Member Dahl introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-17 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR MINNESOTA LAWFUL <br />GAMBLING EXEMPT PERMIT LG220 TO PERMIT BINGO CENTENNIAL <br />MIDDLE SCHOOL <br />WHEREAS, the Centennial Middle School PTA has made request to the City of Lino <br />Lakes to conduct bingo at its parent /teacher gathering, and <br />WHEREAS, the bingo event is proposed to be conducted at 399 Elm Street, Lino Lakes, <br />on Friday, February 2, 2001 between 5:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., and <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Gambling Control Board requires the City of Lino Lakes to <br />acknowledge and approve the application prior to the States consideration, and <br />WHEREAS, on behalf of the City, the Council acknowledges this application and its <br />• three options for the city: <br />1. Approve the application: By taking no action, the city allows the <br />Board to issue a permit after 30 days. <br />2. Waive the above - mentioned waiting period: The city allows the <br />Board to issue a permit before 30 days. <br />3. Deny the application by passing a rejection resolution with in 30 <br />days of the event. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes hereby grants <br />authorization to approve the Centennial Middle School PTA to make application for <br />Exempt Permit to conduct bingo at the stated location and date. <br />NOW, THEREFOR BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lino Lakes hereby does grant <br />permission to conduct bingo on Friday, February 2, 2001, at Centennial Middle School, <br />399 Elm Street, Lino Lakes, Minnesota. <br />A d b the L. o Lakes City Council this 22 day of January 2001. <br />Ry -Chel Gaustad, CMC City Clerk <br />• <br />John Jgelon, Mayor <br />Sr."' <br />
