Council Member t introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 01-22 RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR MINNESOTA LAWFUL GAMBLING EXEMPT PERMIT LG220 TO PERMIT BINGO AT ST. JOSEPH CHURCH WHEREAS, the Church of St. Joseph's has made a request to the City of Lino Lakes to conduct bingo at a gathering, and WHEREAS, the bingo event is proposed to be conducted at 171 Elm Street, Lino Lakes, on Sunday, April 1, 2001 between 5:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., and WHEREAS, the Minnesota Gambling Control Board requires the City of Lino Lakes to acknowledge and approve the application prior to the States consideration, and • WHEREAS, on behalf of the City, the Council acknowledges this application and its three options for the city: 1. Approve the application: By taking no action, the city allows the Board to issue a permit after 30 days. 2. Waive the above - mentioned waiting period: The city allows the Board to issue a permit before 30 days. 3. Deny the application by passing a rejection resolution with in 30 days of the event. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes hereby grants authorization to approve St. Joseph Church to make application for Exempt Permit to conduct bingo at the stated location and date and to waive the above - mentioned waiting period. . NOW, THEREFOR BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lino Lakes hereby does grant permission to conduct bingo on Sunday, April 1, 2001, at St. Joseph Church 171 Elm Street, Lino Lakes, Minnesota.
