54 <br />10 -24 -72 <br />Mr. Young thanked the Council for their time and said they will arrive at a dollar <br />figure for the Council to consider. <br />Mr. Marier asked Mr. Locher if he had read the letter received from Mr. Earl Kammerer <br />in reference to the variance granted. Mr. Locher said he had not seen the letter. <br />The Clerk went to her office to get the letter that had been left in the P &Z File. <br />Mr. Marier also commented on the sale of grain dryers at the Skyline Auto Body shop <br />location. Mr. Locher pointed out that it was commercially zoned and that according to <br />our Ordinance the sale was entirely legal. <br />There was a discussion on target shooting inthe Village . Mr. Locher read from Our <br />Ordinance that prohibits all solid shells from being fired within the Village limits. <br />Mr. Marier said he will have a report on the Metro Inter County Park Board for the <br />next meeting. <br />Mr. Zelinka said the Personnel Commission had met but only one member had been there. <br />He had furnished the others members with copies of the applications for Clerk- Treasurer <br />position and thought he would have a recommendation for the Council at this meeting. <br />He had not heard from the other members as yet, so therefore will have to delay the <br />recommendation until the next meeting. There was some discussion to the applications <br />received for the position of Public Works Supervisor. The ad for that position has <br />been run for the last time. <br />Mr. zelinka feels that the Environmental Commission should work through the P &Z Board. <br />As the situation now stands, the Commission meets a few days after the P &Z and by the <br />next P &Z meeting they are a month behing. He felt that there should a liaison from <br />the P &Z Board to the Environmental Commission. The Commission is also willing to <br />change their meeting date to conform more closely with the P &Z. Mr. Marier will <br />present these thoughts and ideas at the next meeting of the P &Z Board. <br />Mr. Locher finished reading Mr. Kammerer's letter and reported that parcel #2580 has <br />a 60' right -of -way but that the other parcel has only a 33' easement and would need <br />an additional 27' in order to meet the Village Ordinance. This Ordinance was passed <br />in 1957. Mr. Marier recommended that Mr. Locher put his recommendations on this matter <br />in a letter to Mr. Kammerer. <br />Mr. Locher then discussed our Ordinance covering the moving of buildings through_ the <br />Village. At the present, the Ordinance only states that buildings may not be moved <br />over Village streets without a permit, but we have no control over the county or state <br />roads. He would suggest that our Ordinance be amended to read " or move a dwelling <br />upon any land within the Village for a period of more than 24 hours without a permit ". <br />Mr. Marier moved to amend the Ordinance as stated and to authorize Mr. Locher to put <br />in proper terminology and to publish. IMr. Zelinka seconded. CArried. <br />Mr. Bohjanen had received the Centervi l le Fire report and asked the Clerk to make <br />copies for a l l Council members. He had also received a letter from Mr. McMu rch i e of <br />Circle Pines announcing a Police Meeting to be held on October 26, 1972 at 7:30 PM. <br />He planned to attend and invited any other Council member who would like to go. This <br />meeting is to discuss the possibility of a full time Police force for the area. <br />He presented a copy of brochure on map racks and asked the Council to consider the <br />purchase of one. After discussion as to size and type, Mr. Marier moved to purchase <br />a floor model with wings for a 52'x40" map size. IMr. Cardinal seconded. Carried. <br />The Clerk read the final acceptance report from Mr. Gotwald on the well and Pumphouse <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to accept as recommended by Mr. Gotwald the well and pumphouse <br />located in the U. S. lakes Development, also to make the final payment when confirmation <br />
