Mr. Marier reminded the Council of <br /> the meeting on Open Space being held by the Metro Council on March I , 1973. <br /> The Village has two-5 minute spots to present our position . Mr. McLean <br /> will use one spot and the other one is open as of now. <br /> Mr. Ze I i n ka reported that the Environmental Commission had met and had <br /> reviewed the Open Space May of the Village. He had briefed the members on <br /> the County's response. They were pleased that the Blue Heron Rookery had <br /> been included in the area. The Commission will study this proposal and report <br /> back with their recommendations. <br /> The Pe rsonneI Commission would like some direction from the Council as to <br /> what is expected of them in the area of wages and salary levels. What do they <br /> consider and how far do they go? Mr. Bohjanen asked that they look into all <br /> wages and salaries paid by the Village. Mr. Zelinka asked for a list of the <br /> present salaries and wages being paid. The Commission needs this list in <br /> order to have a starting point. The Clerk will make a list for them. They <br /> would also lie an input as the the feelings of the members of the Council . <br /> Mr. Locher was asked if the 5.2% applies to us and he said, No, it is not <br /> effective for municipalities. Mr. Locher also reported that he is setting <br /> up a meeting with the Metro Sewer Board for one day this week. He had no <br /> report on the sign ordinance. <br /> Under old Business, Mr. Jaworski introduced the subject of the stand pipe <br /> versus the subme rsiable pump. The Clerk read the bids for the pump. Mr. <br /> Zelinka questioned the surface at the wet well and asked if it would carry <br /> the tanker and truck. Mr. Cardinal said, No, that it would have to be <br /> surfaced. Mr. Cardinal also said, that we would have to have a stand pipe <br /> no matter which pumping operation we selected. <br /> Mr. Backlin was asked how far the wet well is from the lift station . He <br /> said about 6 feet. He said there is no way to get to the wet well with the <br />
