106 <br />March 5, 1973 <br />Jaworski moved to authorize Mr. Gotwald to attend this meeting and give <br />testimony in opposition to the landfill in regards to water quality. <br />Mr. Marier said that the object of the Rice Creek Water Shed District <br />Board was to protect the water. They have the men to do this job without <br />any input from our Engineer. Mr. Cardinal is a member of the Board and <br />he could speak for the Council. <br />Mr. Zelinka asked how the Lexington Council felt about the landfill. <br />Mr. Jaworski said they had voted 4 out of 5 in favor of it. Mr. Zelinka <br />agreed with Mr. Marier that it is unnesessary to send our Engineer to this meeting. <br />Mr. Cardinal said our Resolution opposing the landfill has been read and is <br />on file, so our feelings in this matter are known. <br />Mr. Zelinka seconded the motion. Motion fai led, with only Mr. Jaworski <br />voting, Yes. <br />Mr. Backlin asked the Council to get some clairification allowing him to <br />dump the sewage into the system in case he is questioned. Mr. Locher <br />will ask for designated spot from the MSB. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to adjourn at 10:45 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Marier. AYE <br />Minutes approved at March 12, 1973 meeting.%��i -�e <br />CLERK - TREASURER <br />March 12, 1973 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes V i I l age Counci 1 was called to <br />order at 8:00 P.M. by Mayor Bohjanen.. Counci Imen present; Cardinal, <br />Jaworski, Marier, Zelinka. Mr. Locher and Mr. Gotwald were also present. <br />The minutes of the Feb. 26, 1973 meeting were corrected as follows; <br />Page 5, paragraph 2, add "send us" after the word "will" in the first <br />sentence. <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. <br />Cardinal. Motion carred. <br />The minutes of the special meeting of March 5, 1973 were corrected as <br />follows: <br />Page 3, parapgraph 1, 6th line, delete the word "better" and <br />insert "More economical" <br />Page 3, 3rd paragraph at end of sentence add "because of the open end <br />bid submitted by Batzli ". <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. <br />Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />The clerk read the bids received for the printing of the information <br />bulletins. The Circulating Pines - $88.00; Forest Lake Times - $91.85; <br />Blaine Life - $90.00. Mr. Zelinka moved to accept the low bid from the <br />Circulating Pines for the printing of 1,500 information guides for $88.00. <br />Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />
