March 12, 1973 <br />Mr. Backlin had checked on spark plug cleaners. Oee that just cleans is <br />$37.00 and the one with the tester is $126.00. These are new. There <br />was discussion on these pieces of equipment with Mr. Cardinal moving <br />to table the matter. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Gotwald had no report. He told the Council that they will open and <br />tabulate the bids on the road work and have a report for the next <br />Council meeting. <br />Under old business, the matter of the set back l i ne requirements in the <br />Zoning Ord. #56 was discussed. Mr. Locher saying that an amendment is <br />necessary to change the Ordinance. He suggested thilt if there is more <br />that one change to be made, that they all be made at the same time, thus <br />saving on publication costs. Mr. Jaworski moved to authorize the P &Z <br />to study this matter and present suggested changes to the Council. <br />Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Jaworski had talked to Mr. Backlin on the matter of the stumps on <br />Sunrise and Peltier that must be removed and the dirt removal and grad- <br />ing to be done in these areas and they suggested letting bids for the <br />work to all be done by the same party. <br />Mr. Gotwald suggested Welsh Tree Service and had several others in <br />mind. These men can take a look at the work to be done and give a pretty <br />close estimate as to the amount of dirt to be removed and the cost in- <br />volved. Mr. Jaworski moved to have the Engineer get bids on this project. <br />Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />Under new Businees, Mr. Backlin reported that he had a problem with <br />frozen culverts. It had been impossible to get the County out until <br />just today. Last Friday he had a man out to demonstrate a steam cleaner. <br />Mr. Backlin felt that the Village should own a steamer for use on the <br />culverts and could be used to clean the road equipment as well. The one <br />demonstrated cost over $600.00. The Council asked that he check into a <br />couple more for price comparisons. <br />Mr. Locher had looked over the information on a Wastwater Institute <br />being held and said the application enclosed should be filled out by <br />Mr. Backlin. Mr. Gotwald said he had some information on this and will <br />get together with Mr. Backlin about being phased in under the grand- <br />father clause. <br />Mr. Cardinal said the property on the curve cn Birch street owned by <br />Mrs. Klang is turning into a junk yard and he suggested having the Police <br />investigate. <br />Mr. Zelinka said the Bruder property on Lake Drive also has some old <br />cars and truck standing in the front yard that look as if they haven't <br />been moved for months. <br />Mr. Locher reported on the history of this operation and the steps taken <br />by the Village to clean it up. The Council asked that he look into it <br />again to see if there is something more that can be done. <br />
