11/8/71 <br />Glenn Rehbein mentioned his problem with North Central on gas service. They <br />wanted to bury gas tanks, which Glenn doesn't feel the residents would like. <br />He stated that with winter coming they needed to know whether they should <br />contact Circle Pines Utilities for gas or put in oil heat. He stated that <br />they couldn't get anything definite from the North Central representative, <br />Larry Harrison, who had stated that he would try to get Glenn a,letter in 2 <br />weeks. There was discussion. Mr. Jaworski moved to send an inquiry to <br />North Central requesting an answer in 2 weeks as to whether they will provide natural <br />gas gervice to Glenrae Estates. Seconded by W. Cardinal. Carried unanimously. <br />The postal service was discussed. Mr. Rosengren moved to indicate that the <br />Council would go along with the wishes of the developer as to which Post <br />Office is to be used. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. <br />W. Bohjanen moved to pay the bills as audited. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier <br />Carried unanimously. <br />Clyde Rehbein asked if Mr. Locher had come to any conclusion on the plumbing <br />code as to use of plastic pipe. W. L'Allier noted that W. Locher was to <br />have checked with the St. Paul City Attorney to see what they were going to <br />do. Mr. Burke stated that Mr. Locher would be back late Wednesdwy; the Clerk <br />could check Thursday. There was considerable discussion. Mr. Rosengren <br />moved to abide by the State Code. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. W. Bohjanen <br />wished to have Mr. Burke call Clyde Rehbein after he has talked with Mr. <br />Locher on Tuesday evening and then follow this with a letter. Also, copies <br />of the letter should go to the Plumbing Inspector and the Building Inspector. <br />Mr. Rosengren withdrew his motion. W. Cardinal withdrew his second. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved that if Mr. Locher's letter is favorable, that is if St. <br />Paul allows the use of plastic pipe above the ground, that Lino Lakes will <br />allow plastic pipe also. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. There was discussion, <br />with it being noted that St. Paul has adopted the State Building Code. The <br />motion carried with Mr. Rosengren voting, No, since he didn't feel we should <br />do what St. Paul does for that sake alone. <br />W. Jaworski moved. to adjourn at 9 :56 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. <br />Carried unanimously. <br />Minutes approved at the meeting of November 22, 1971 <br />J Clerk Treasurer <br />12/7/71 <br />The special meeting of the Lino Lakes Village Council was called to order at <br />8 :25 P.M. on December 7, 1971, by W. L'Allier. Present were W. Jaworski, <br />Mr. Bohjanen, Mr. Cardinal and W. Rosengren. <br />This meeting was called to review the applications received for the position <br />of full time Clerk- Treasurer. Filed of record are three Printer's Affidavits <br />of Publication, in the Forest Lake Times, the Circulating Pines and the Blaine <br />Life, for a two week period. The deadline given the the Notice was November <br />30, 1971. As of that date there was only one application, that of June <br />Emerton. The next morning, December lst, a second application was received <br />from Mrs. Linda Roetman. <br />Mrs. Roetman was present and the Council members had several questions of her, <br />and discussed her qualifications with her.
