113 <br />Health Officer - -Dr. Midboe of Forest Lake. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. <br />Liaison to the gas utilities - -Mr. Wm. Blaylock. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. <br />Weed Inspector - -Mr. R. V. Ellingsen. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. <br />Assessor- -Mrs. Edna Sarner. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. <br />Animal Control Officer --Mr. Bruce Fleming. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. <br />The vote on these appointments carried unanimously. <br />Mr. L'Allier asked for motion on the legal newspaper. Mr. Rosengren moved to appoint <br />the Circulating Pines as legal newspaper for 1969. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Vote: <br />Aye—Mr. Cardinal, Mr. Rosengren. No---Mr. Jaworski, Mr. Bohjanen, Mr. L'Allier. <br />Motion failed. <br />Mr. Bohjanen then moved to appoint the Blaine life as our legal Newspaper for 1969. <br />The motion received no second. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to table the matter of the legal newspaper until the next meeting. <br />Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Vote: No--Mr. Rosengren and Mr. Bohjanen, the rest Aye. <br />Carried. Mr. Locher read State Statute 412 -821 stating that the decision of the <br />newspaper must be made at the first meeting of the year. Discussion was held off <br />until later in the meeting. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to appoint Springsted, Inc. as our bonding consultants for 1969. <br />Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Vote: No--Mr. Rosengren, the rest Aye. Carried. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to appoint Mr. Wally Hill as our auditor for 1969. Seconded by Mr. <br />Bohjanen. Vote: No - -Mr. Rosengren, the rest Aye. Carried. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to appoint Centennial State Bank of Lexington as our Bank Depository. <br />Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. L'Allier made the following appointments to the various boards under a perpetual <br />motion: Park Board: 3 year terms: Mr. Rayoume Houle and Mr. Dale Tressler; two <br />year terms: Mr. Norm Miller and Mr. Harold Lehman; 1 year term: Mr. Al Thiltgen. <br />Planning and Zoning Board: 3 year term; Mr. Glenn Rehbein, Mr. E. P; Jester, and <br />Mr. James Husnik; 2 year terms: Mr. John McLean, Mr. Arnold Kelling; 1 year terms: <br />Mr. Roy Stanley and Mr. David Brovold. <br />Road Study Board: Messrs. Al Ross, Lee Robinson, LeRoy Houle, Denny Houle, Ken Youker. <br />Personnel Commission: Messers. Peter Scherer, John McLean, Denny Houle, Dave Brovold, <br />and Mrs. Ruth Rector. <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. <br />The Clerk inquired about the salaries of the police officers and was informed that <br />they would be the same as in 1968---Mr. West will receive $200 /month, and Mr. Myhre <br />$185 per month. <br />Mr. L'Allier appointed the following responsibilities to the councilmen and asked for <br />confirmation: <br />Mr. Rosengren -- liaison to the Road Department <br />Mr. Cardinal -- liaison to the Planning and Zoning, alternate liaison to the Anoka <br />County League of Municipalities <br />Mr. Jaworski - -- Liaison to the Park Board, Personnel Commission and Road Study Board <br />Mr. Bohjanen - -- liaison to the Community and Business Development Commission and <br />the two watershed commissions. <br />Mir. L'Allier--- liaison to the Anoka County Association of Municipalities. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to ratify these responsibilities. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. <br />
