Meeting of the Council of Lino Lakes on May 11, 1964 <br />55 <br />Members present as follows: Mayor Downing; Trustee's Backlin, Speiser, Heckenliable <br />Clerk Bauer. <br />The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and on a motion bySpeiser, second by <br />Backlin, they were accept as read. Carried. <br />Treasurer's report: <br />Gophers Fund <br />Roads & Bridge <br />Parks & Playgrounds <br />General <br />Civil Defense <br />Debt Redemption <br />Fire Protection <br />Balance on Hand <br />$ 691.67 <br />7,564.96 <br />993.36 <br />3,461.13 <br />1,234.24 <br />972.79 <br />525.38 <br />Mr. Backlin, reported on the <br />contact Wilbur Dufrane, also <br />Motion by Backli4, second by <br />Carried. <br />$15,443.53 <br />gopher machine, if anyone wishes to use it they should <br />they oiling of Were Road. <br />Speiser, to oil Ware Road at the cost of about $850.00. <br />Motion by Backlin, second by Speiser, to have the Engineer contact the County Attorney on <br />the Baldwin Lake Road. Carried. <br />Motion by Backlin, second by Speiser, to grade West Holly Road at the approximate costs <br />of $992.00. Carried. <br />Motion by Backlin, second by Heckenliable, to have the Engineer stake out Holly Road. <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Backlin, second by Speiser, to put up post and signs on Ware Road. Carried, <br />Mr. Speiser, reports that the Flag Poles will be installed and that he has checked on <br />various Back Stops. <br />Motion by Speiser, second by Heckenliable, to have two Back Stops installed if the <br />cost is about $250.00 each. Carried. <br />Mr. Heckenliable, reported the Planning Meeting will be held on May 20, 1964, and <br />the Laison Meeting on May 18, 1964. <br />The Engineer, reported the cost of blacktopping the tennis court $1,600.00, with a <br />walk coat $2,600.00. Blacktop on the basketball court cost of $466.00. The grading of <br />the park at Luther's $500.00. <br />Special Meeting on May 18, 1964, at 8:00. <br />Motion by Domning, second by Speiser, that the Council is in favor of spraying for <br />Canker worms.
