78 <br />A special meeting of the Liao Lakes Council was called for <br />7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 1965, to approve the plans for <br />35E as proposed by the Minnesota Highway Department. <br />Engineer Gottwold, and Trustees Backlin, Heckenlaible and Speiser <br />were present. Mayor Domning absent. (New Trustee Anderson and <br />Clerk Zel.nka were present). Representing the Highway Department <br />was Mr. E. J. McCubrey, District Engineer. (1246 University Ave., <br />St. Paul 4,, Minnesota, phone 221 - 3795). <br />Following the discussion, a motion by Backlin, seconded by Speiser, <br />was approved, to have Mr. Gottwold contact, Jake Lundheim, the Cty. <br />Engineer, to determine if the county will build a connecting road <br />between #4.6 and #54, Section 23. A report on the county's decision <br />will be ready for the council meeting on January llth. <br />It was stated by Mr. McCubrey that failure of the Lino Lakes Council <br />to approve the plans as submitted could result in the construction <br />of 35E being held up as much as six months. <br />Other business discussed: Motion by Heckenlaible, second by Speiser, <br />that we call the Circle Pines Untilities and ask them to submit a <br />monthly reporb to the council.
