108 <br />Following the above discussion Domning moved, with second by Speiser, <br />that we grant a special permit to sell beer to the Catholic Church for <br />August 8th. Motion carried. <br />Speiser asked if the Park Board had any objection to issuing a special <br />beer permit to the Lexington Ball Club for a tournament to be held in <br />our park on August 14/15, Mr. Kelling indicated agreement, and Speiser <br />moved, with second by Domning, that we grant this permit. Motion Carried. <br />Treasurers report was read and approved as read. <br />Mr. Backlin asked Mr. Locher if the information on assessments on 64th St. <br />were ready, this will be ready by the next meeting. Mr. Backlin also moved <br />that the Engineer survey 64th, stake it out and have the contractor com- <br />plete the necessary work when the large equipment is in that location. <br />Second was by Zelinka, Carried. <br />Mr. Backlin also reported he talked to Circle Pines on the possibility of <br />renaming or at least marking with better signs, Pointcross Drive and Sun- <br />set Avenue, and that Circle Pines will discuss it at their next Planning <br />Commission meeting. <br />Discussion again came up on the hiring of a full time employee for the <br />village. The clerk has been instructed to secure application forms and on <br />motion by Backlin, second by Speiser, will begin taking applications for <br />a Maintenance man. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Speiser reported a request from a former resident of the village, <br />Mrs. Blair Hippie, to use the park for a rummage sale on Friday and Sat- <br />urday, July 30/31. On motion by Zelinka, second by Speiser, permission <br />will be given for this sale, with 10% of the proceeds to be the fee. <br />Mr. Domning reported that on Wednesday, July 28, a meeting was held with <br />the Corps of Engineers, at which time they also toured the village to see <br />what obstructions might exist that are causing the water problems. <br />Mr. Domning moved, and Mr. Speiser seconded, that we appoint Kenneth <br />Rehbein as Liason Officer for the Council with the Circle Pines Utility <br />Commission.
