164 <br />The July 11, 1966 meeting of the Lino Lakes Countil called to order at <br />8:00 p.m. Members L'Allier, Ross and Zelinka present. Mayor Domning and <br />Acting Mayor Backlin absent, so it was moved by L'Allier, second by Zelinka <br />that Ross act as temporary Chairman for this meeting. Motion carried. <br />Minutes of the previous meeting were read, moved by L'Allier, second by <br />Ross, minutes be accepted as read. Motion carried. <br />Theron payment of a bill to Arnold Ficocello for a culvert in the amount <br />of $43.60 was turned over to Locher for advice on how to collect, if <br />possible. <br />Letter written by the Clerk to Baldwin Lake Motel was read. Police will <br />investigate to see if the necessary road work has been done and report at <br />the next meeting. <br />The communication from the Village Attorney was read pertaining to the <br />breaking of the covenent on Lot 11, Block 7 in Lakeview Addition. Question <br />was asked if Council was responsible for issuing the building permit, <br />answer was no. <br />Treasurer's report was read, final balance $29,112.8L1-. <br />Treasurer also asked about the list of delinquent taxes amounting to $599,93 <br />which had been received against Twilight Acres. The attorney advised it <br />was the responsibility of the village to pay these and collect them back. <br />Locher will contact Rehbein's attorney before the next meeting. <br />Gale Thompson from Johnson Bros. ConStruction Company discussed Ordinance <br />6E with the Council. Mr. Thompson will be present at the next meeting <br />when an agrament and bond amount will be established for the removal of <br />fill dirt from the vicinity of Cointy Road 14, <br />Ralph L'Allier presented a rough draft of a resolution for the Road Com- <br />mittee. Moved by L'Allier, second by Ross, resolution will be typed <br />and presented to the Council for their approval at the next meeting. <br />Motion carried. <br />Gotwald presented two layouts from the North Central Company, which he <br />had checked and approved. Construction of the gas line is reported to <br />be starting tomorrow, July 12. <br />Ross reported the next Planning and Zoning meeting will be on the 20th, <br />and discussion will be on section lines on roads and land fill dumps. <br />Also moved by Ross, second by L'Allier, that the Council send a letter to <br />the Director of Civil Defense and President of the auxilliary for the fine <br />display in the Fourth of July parade and the resulting first prize. <br />Motion carried. <br />Mr. & Mrs. Burns were present from Lakeview Avenue, again protesting <br />the way the drainage ditch is being dug andfinished: Discussed the <br />matter with Gotwald and the Council, and Gotwald will try to contact <br />Backlin before the next meeting. <br />Mr. Toumi, 6816 Sunset Avenue, asked if anything could be done to prevent <br />this street from being used so much as a racetrack. He protested the <br />numbers of cars, scooters and motorcycles using excessive speeds to pull <br />in and out of the garage directly across the street from his home. <br />
