182 <br />Ross stated the reported $20,000 increase in the 1967 budget, as reported <br />by Circulating Pines, should correctly be issued as an increase of $5,000 <br />to $6,000. Ross also-stated village street lights are paid on a flat rate <br />basis with no additional charges for faulty, continuous burning. <br />Motion by Ross to accept the minutes, second by Backlin, motion carried. <br />A resolution from the Anoka County Commissioners, with reference to the <br />Centerville-Lino Lakes County Park, was read and placed on file. L'Allier <br />and Ross expressed a negative feeling to expending village funds in the park. <br />Gotwald would check on a letter from the State Highway Department regarding <br />roads to be used in the village during highway construction. <br />Treasurer reported a balance of $8,109.77 plus $10,000 in bank certificates. <br />Backlin stated 74th Street, south of the Youth Center, was completed with <br />a raised grade and ditching, East 77th street is graveled including culvert <br />installations, Mr. Sherer's road will be checked in the spring due to <br />present freezing conditions. <br />Ross reported the Anoka County League of Municipalities next meeting will <br />be held in Circle Pines and requested the village delegate bring up the <br />question of county wide law enforcement. <br />1 <br />Motion by Ross the Clerk and Treasurer price and purchase suitable chairs <br />for the Council, second by L'Allier, motion carried. <br />L'Allier reported he had met with Gotwald at Reshnau Lake for tests to be <br />taken of the lake bed. A decision was made to wait for more solid freezing <br />for the tests. Motion by L'Allier after the soundings are made, Gotwald <br />presented a rough estimate on the cost of a beach, second by Ross. Carried. <br />L'Allier had met with a representative of the North Central Gas Company in <br />regards to installation of gas burner in the building at Lino Lakes Park. <br />Submitted prices were $199.00 on a 20,000 BTU and $249.00 on a 66,000 BTU <br />forced air burner. No charge would be made to run gas lines to the building <br />AND A $2.50 a month rate billed for gas service. <br />Motion by Ross to purchase the $249.00 burner, second by Backlin. Motion <br />carried. <br />Engineer Gotwald had contacted the assistant Anoka County Engineer and the <br />Washington County Engineer in regards to the east county line road. A <br />problem exists with split ownership and maintenance of this road. L'Allier <br />suggested a meeting with all concerned. Gotwald reported on drainage at <br />the S.E. corner of Sunset Avenue and Fairmont Street. A complaint had been <br />placed that flooding had not occurred before Sunset Avenue was graded and <br />surfaced by the County. Gotwald produced profile maps, showing the location's <br />driveway as low and suggested a 6" curb be placed in front of the driveway <br />on Fairmont Street. <br />Mayor Domning reported on a meeting with Lexington and Circle Pines in <br />regards to the Municipal Court. As village budgets are set for 1967, no • <br />great financial charges will be made at present. Various methods of <br />cutting costs had been discussed. Legislation is necessary to increase <br />salaries of employees. Another meeting will be held in December. <br />Mrs. Michaud' requested Council's pacrdssion to attend theRice Creek Associa- <br />tion meeting at Fridley Village Hall as an observer. Permission was granted. <br />
