184 <br />Lino Lakes Council meeting of November 28/66 called to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />All members present except Juleen. <br />Mr.Hunt of Institutional Sales in St. Paul displayed a chair to match the <br />conference table, and Ross moved we purchase 9 chairs at a price of <br />$43.00 each, (plus freight of approximately $10). Second by L'Allier, <br />motion carried. <br />L'Allier introduced Irving Brandt, (8080 Central Avenue N.E., Minneapolis, <br />phone 786-1637) who requested the use of Sunrise park on the 17/18/19 of <br />June 1967. The State Square Dance Convention is being held in Centennial <br />Highschool, and camping facilities are wanted. L'Allier moved that we give <br />them permission, with the understanding that details such as bond, clean up <br />sufficient sanitary facilities etc., be agreed upon and put in writing. <br />Second by Zelinka, motion carried. Domning requested that L'Allier handle <br />the details. <br />Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Moved by Ross, second by <br />Backlin that they be accepted as read. Carried. <br />TreasUrer's report was given with balance at $4,855. 84, plus $10,000 in <br />securities. <br />1 <br />Locher will prepare the resolution to be passed at the first meeting in <br />December on the aPpointment of the Clerk/Treasurer. Moved by Domning, second <br />by Ross, that we also appoint a Deputy Clerk. Motion carried. <br />Backlin reported that 12 rolls of snow fencing has disappeared during the <br />summer, and Locher is to determine whether or not our insurance covers <br />theft. Ross moved that Backlin be authorized to purchase 20 rolls of snow <br />fencing, and four tires at a price of 1;27 for each on Truck !3. Second <br />by L'Allier, motion carried. <br />Backlin reported that all graveling has been completed, including thetiwo <br />approaches to 77th. There will be some additional grading done on 80th <br />Street in the spring. Backlin will request the State to put up permanent <br />barricades at all open end bridges. <br />Ross reported that location for a village hall had been discussed at the <br />last Planning and Zoning meeting. Had also talked to Commissioner Fields <br />and asked for a commitment in writing as to the County's intentions <br />regarding service road in conjunction with county road 54 (Hanson's). <br />Next Planning and Zoning meeting will be December 21. Locher will have the <br />plumbing and heating ordinance ready for that meeting. <br />L'Allier reported the parks have been seeded. Arrangements have been made <br />to have the park building at the Lino Park insulated and a gas burner <br />installed. Requesred permission to have door locks installed as soon as <br />the burner is in, and would like to hire a retired person as caretaker, <br />such as we have at Sunrise Park. Ross moved we give L'Allier permission <br />to hire for a nominal fee someone to act as caretaker. Second by Backlin, <br />carried. <br />Mrs. Michaud from the audience reported she had attended the Rice Creek <br />Association meeting in Fridley on November 17. This pertains to establish- <br />ment of a proposed watershed area in Anoka and Ramsey Counties, Mrs. Micha <br />recommended formation of a group in Lino Lakes to study this situation and <br />to also have a member on the Association Board when it is formed. <br />
