210 <br />The C&BDC made a resolution that Mr. Bohjanen be our recommended laison the Anoka <br />Planning Commission when it materializes. Mr. Ross said Mr. Bohjanen should also be <br />laison to the Rice Creek Watershed Board. Motion so made by Mr. L'Allier. Seconded <br />by Mr. Ross. Motion carried. Mr. Bohjanen did not vote. <br />Mr. Bohjanen reported on letters received from the Postmaster General and Mr. Clark <br />McGregor regarding legal postal address of the Village of Lino Lakes and read resol- <br />ution from C&BDC regarding same. <br />Mr. L'Allier, made a motion that the Council approves the use of the postal address of <br />Lino Lakes and the proper zip code. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Resolution was read from the C&BDC against the purchase of land on the corner of Hwys <br />8 and 242. A discussion developed and Mr. L'Allier made a motion that this resolution <br />be tabled until after the next meeting the of C&BDC to enable them to reword their <br />resolution. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion passed. Mr. Bohjanen did not vote. <br />Mr. Krogh of the Centennial JCs spoke and explained the code used on their question-- - <br />aire in the Village. <br />Mr. Bohjanen reported that the Information Guide could be in the hands of the printer <br />the comming week. Mr. Ross said the CD would be willing to distribute the guide and <br />various ordinances if they would be printed. Mr. L'Allier made a motion that Mr. <br />Bohjanen be given authority to get sufficient number of maps and ordinances and have <br />the guide printed for distribution. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Rosengren reported about dumping on roads. Mr. Locher reported that taxes will <br />go up because of the cost of cleaning and if it is not cleaned up others will use the <br />same area. Mr. Ross instructed Mr. Rosengren to have trash along the roads picked up <br />Mr. Rosengren made a motion to have a street light installed in front of the Hall <br />and eliminate the security light that we are renting from NSF'. Seconded by Mr. Ross. <br />Vote as follows: Mr. Bohjanen Nay. Rest of Council Aye. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Ross suggested that the Council study other requests in the Village for Street <br />Lights. <br />Mr. Rosengren stated he would like to purchase about 5 or 6 culverts to be used in <br />trouble spots in the Village. Mr. L'Allier made a motion that Mr. Rosengren purchase <br />the culverts that he needs after he talks with Mr. Gotwald. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Gotwald stated he was watching the County Road 54 problem and he also discussed <br />the Rice Creek Watershed. Mr. Ross made a motion that we request the County Commis- <br />sioners to express their opinion tbn the Rice Creek Watershed and also inform them that <br />Mr. Bohjanen will represent Lino Lakes at any future meetings on this project. Secon --- <br />ded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. McShannock on Hwy 49 wanted to know why he had to live between two dumps. Mr. <br />Ross stated the Constables had issued warnings. Motion made by Mr. Ross that the <br />Village write letters to all concerned and inform them of fines and the ordinances. <br />Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Paul Videen of Oak Lane Development asked that he be given cost figures on fix- <br />ing up roads in that area to bring them up to Village standards. <br />Mr. L'Allier made a motion that the P&Z Commission discuss Mr. Videen's problem and <br />they should make recommendations to the Council. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />
