246 <br />The October 9th, 1967, meeting of the Village of Lino Lakes was called to order at <br />8 :00 PM, Mayor Ross being absent and out of the city. Mr. Gotwald was also absent <br />and out of the city. <br />Minutes of the Sept. 25th meeting read. Mr. Rosengren made a motion to accept the <br />minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Bohjanen made a motion to reimburse Mr. West and Mr. Raymond of the police force <br />for money they lost from their jobs because they were rounding up escapees from the <br />Treatment Center. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Locher read Attorney General Head's report regarding two polling places in one <br />precinct. The letter was in the negative and was filed. <br />Mr. Bohjanen made a motion to appoint the following election judges: Mrs. Arthur <br />Hawkins, Mrs. John Markus, Mrs. Paul Soplata, Mrs. H. D. Heckenlaible, Mrs. Wm. Houle, <br />Mrs. D. Klepel. Also the following to serve as alternates: James Cox, Mrs. Lowell <br />Nygren, Mrs. Roy Stanley, Mr. Roy Stanley and Mrs. James Livingston and if additional <br />judges are necessary the Clerk shall secure alternates (only one member of a family <br />can serve). Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />Motion made by Mr. Bohjanen to give the fuel oil contract for the coming year to Lino <br />Truck Service at 14.5 per gallon. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Motion carded. <br />Motion made by Mr. Bohjanen that the Village Attorney check in the Court House at <br />Anoka and any other place to see if Maple and Orange Streets are Village streets, <br />report to be made at the next me ,tting. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />The police put on 1825 miles last month. Raymond and West had 118 hours and Myhre <br />68 1/2 hours. <br />Consideration of bldgs on Rolling Hills Dr. put off until next meeting. <br />Motion made by Mr. Bohjanen that the Clerk write to Bob Martin of Springsted Co. and <br />convey to him that both dates of Oct. 26 and Nov. 2nd are convenient to have a meeting <br />in his office and that he should set the date. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion <br />carried. <br />Mr. Bohjanen made a motion that the Clerk write a letter to Mr. Forrest Tagg to thank <br />him for his offer donating 5 acres and for his offer to sell an additional 5 acres <br />for $500.00 per acre and explain to him that we are still trying other avenues of <br />getting a road into this property. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Rosengren made a motion to paint the Village Hall interior and floor, and if work <br />is done by Village force the regular maintenance scale will prevail. Seconded by Mr. <br />Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Rosengren made a motion to purchase an exhaust fan for the Village Hall not to <br />exceed $40.00 and have it installed. Mr. Rosengren will check with the owners. <br />Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Rosengren stated he would get costs of a weed burner to be purchased for the road <br />forces and wills =also check on renting one. <br />1 <br />1 <br />Mr. Cardinal was instructed to notify Mr. Dupre that one member of Council shall in- <br />spect all bldgs and that he should check with Anoka Co. for their ordinances on <br />house moving. <br />
