22 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNCIL MINUTES <br />AUGUST 9, 1993 <br />, <br />DATE 1993 <br />TIME <br />STARTED <br />TIME ENDED :: • <br />MEMBERS;: PRESENT; <br />Astl*.or iltiterthet, Elliott, Bergeson; <br />MEMBERS:..ABSENT<:None. <br />Staff members present: City Attorney, Bill Hawkins; City <br />Engineer, Darrell Schneider; Parks Director, Marty Asleson; <br />Consulting Engineer, John Powell; City Administrator, Randy <br />Schumacher and Clerk -Treasurer Marilyn Anderson. <br />Mayor Reinert introduced two (2) special guests from Esi, Japan; <br />Tomoki and Tashishi. They are foreign exchange students living <br />with the Jeff Joyer family and the Blake Rivard family. Tomoki <br />and Tashishi are studying English and have the opportunity to <br />practice speaking English by becoming foreign exchange students. <br />Tomoki and Tashishi present a gift to Mayor Reinert. Mayor <br />Reinert presented gifts to the boys and asked them to take a gift <br />to the Mayor of Esi. Mayor Reinert thanked the students and <br />their host families for coming this evening. <br />SETTING THE AGENDA <br />Council Member Kuether added Public Works Report under Old <br />Business. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Council Member Neal moved to approve the consent agenda as <br />presented.
