114 <br />COUNCIL WORK SESSION MARCH 14, 1994 <br />property has already been developed so that there is a "built in" <br />limit. Council Member Elliott said she would favor 250 - 300 new <br />homes per year. <br />Mr. Schumacher restated the consensus of the City Council; 250 - <br />300 new home starts per year using the "land bank" system for <br />extending the MUSA. He noted that this matter will be before the <br />Planning and Zoning Board in April to keep them abreast of what is <br />happening at the City Council level. <br />Council Member Bergeson asked why other communities have not used <br />the "land bank" system. Mr. Brixius explained that other cities <br />have used it on a temporary basis. He will provide information to <br />the City Council regarding how the "land bank" system worked in <br />other cities. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 6:25 P.M. <br />These minutes were considered, corrected and approved at the <br />regular City Council meeting held on March 28, 1994. <br />Marilyn.
