Consider 2nd Reading of Ordinance No. 10-14, Amendment to Chapter 1007 of the City Code- Zoning Ordinance. ii. Consider Resolution No. 14-140 Approving Summary Publication of Ordinance No. 10-14. VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 INTRODUCTION Staff is requesting City Council consideration to amend the City Code- Zoning Ordinance and approve the ordinance for purposes for publication. BACKGROUND The City Council approved the 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 10-14 on November 10, 2014. The 2nd Reading is required for adoption of the ordinance. The Planning & Zoning Board held public hearing on October 8, 2014. There were no public comments. The Planning & Zoning Board made recommendation to the City Council to approve the amendment to the Zoning Ordinance. The City Council adopted the recodification of the City Code in November of 2009. The Lino Lakes Zoning Code was adopted in Chapter 1007 by reference. The existing Zoning Ordinance currently follows a different format than the City Code. To provide consistency with the City Code, staff is proposing to reformat the Zoning Ordinance to match the same format. Changes to the code are limited to changes in the numbering system. References within the document have also been changed to reflect the new numbering system. The only text change proposed is to Section 5 Subdivision 1.G.8.a. to strike language referencing a section that is no longer in the Zoning Ordinance as follows: 8. Public and private airports provided that: relating to airport zoning are satisfactorily met.
