1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING OCTOBER 23, 1995 <br />DATE <br />TIME STARTED <br />TIME ENDED <br />MEMBERS PRESENT <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNCIL MINUTES <br />October 23, 1995 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />9:25 P.M. <br />Bergeson, Elliott, Kuether, Neal Reinert <br />None <br />Staff members present: City Attorney, Bill Hawkins; Acting City Engineer's, John Powell, <br />Steve Heth and Kurt Johnson; Building Official, Pete Kluegel; Planning Coordinator, <br />Mary Kay Wyland; Community Development Assistant; Mary LaForest; Recycling <br />Coordinator, Jackie Constant; Chief of Police, David Pecchia; Financial Consultant, Ron <br />Batty; City Administrator, Randy Schumacher and Clerk -Treasurer Marilyn Anderson. <br />SETTING THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Schumacher asked that an item titled, "Establishing a Policy for Rebroadcasting City <br />Council Meetings" be placed under New Business. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Remembering Bill Bohjanen - Mayor Reinert explained that past Mayor, Bill Bohjanen <br />was killed early last week and asked for a moment of silence in remembrance of him. <br />Mayor Reinert noted that Mr. Bohjanen has lived in Lino Lakes for many years and had <br />been Mayor of the City as well as a Council Member. Mayor Reinert described many <br />other offices held by Mr. Bohjanen and noted his very active membership in the VFW and <br />in Gethsemane United Methodist Church. Mr. Bohjanen served his community well and <br />was always ready when he was needed. <br />Candyce Bohjanen-Hammitt, Eagan, Minnesota - Ms. Hammitt thanked the City <br />Council, staff and residents of Lino Lakes for the support provided for Mr. Bohjanen's <br />family. She asked the City to consider lowering the speed limits and adding additional <br />street lighting before there are more deaths on City streets. <br />CONSIDERATION OF DISBURSEMENTS <br />October 23, 1995 - Council Member Kuether moved to approve these disbursements as <br />presented.
