1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING FEBRUARY 27, 1995 <br />CONSIDERATION OF AWARDING BIDS FOR DUMP TRUCK, RANDY SCHUMACHER <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that the purchase of a replacement <br />dump/snow plow truck was budgeted in the 1995 budget. The <br />purchase is accomplished in two (2) steps. First the cab and <br />chassis is bid. The City Council has already awarded bids for <br />this step. The second step is the bidding for the dump box, <br />hydraulic and snow plow equipment which will be installed on the <br />cab and chassis. <br />Mr. DeWolfe has received three (3) bids for the dump box and <br />hydraulics and three (3) separate bids for the snow plow <br />equipment. J -Craft, Inc. is the low bidder for all the <br />equipment. Mr. DeWolfe recommended that the City Council award <br />both bids to J -Craft, Inc. The low bids are $12,541.00 for the <br />dump box and hydraulics and $12,521.00 for the snow plow <br />equipment. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to approve the <br />recommended by Mr. DeWolfe. Council Member <br />motion. The following committees <br />and it was decided that liaison appointments <br />as follows: <br />Solid Waste Committee <br />Police Department <br />Star City Program <br />Government Efficiencies Program - <br />Council Member Elliott <br />Council Member Neal <br />Council Member Kuether <br />Council Member Neal <br />At the work session Mayor Reinert suggested that Mr. Schumacher <br />and Mr. Tesch form a committee to assist Council Member Neal with <br />the Government Efficiencies Program. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to set the committees as discussed <br />and noted above.
