COUNCIL MEETING MAY 13, 1996 <br />DATE <br />TIME STARTED <br />TIME ENDED <br />MEMBERS PRESENT <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNCIL MINUTES <br />: May 13, 1996 <br />. 6:30 P.M. <br />. 9:04 P.M. <br />: Bergeson, Kuether, Lyden Neal, Landers <br />: None <br />Staff members present: City Attorney, Bill Hawkins; City Engineer, David Ahrens; <br />Community Development Director, Brian Wessel; Building Official, Peter Kluegel; <br />Consulting Engineer, David Mitchell; Parks and Recreation Director, Marty Asleson; <br />City Administrator, Randy Schumacher and Clerk -Treasurer Marilyn Anderson. <br />Mr. Hawkins administered the oath of office to newly appointed Planning and Zoning <br />Board Member, Donald Dunn. Other Planning and Zoning Board appointees, Parks and <br />Recreation Board appointees and the Circle Pines Utility Commission appointee will be <br />given the oath of office at the May 28, 1996 Council meeting. <br />SETTING THE AGENDA <br />Mayor Landers noted that the Animal Ordinance will not be considered this evening as <br />was reported in a local newspaper. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Council Member Kuether questioned an item on the April, 1996 Disbursements. She <br />asked why a commission was paid to the Sentry Real Estate, Inc. Mr. Wessel explained <br />that a commission is paid to any Realtor who is instrumental in bringing a client to the <br />City. This particular commission was paid to a Realtor who was instrumental in bringing <br />the Fogerty Customer Remodelers development to the City. <br />Council Member Kuether questioned an item on Page 2 of the May 13, 1996 <br />Disbursements. She asked why a payment was made from the Contractors Deposits fund. <br />Ms. Wyland explained that a contractor had deposited money into this account to pay for <br />a map revision involving the flood plain. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to approve the consent agenda as presented. Council <br />Member Lyden seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />PAGE 1 <br />
