CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14-93 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT, <br />2014 MILL AND OVERLAY <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2014 Mill and <br />Overlay Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids <br />were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of bid <br />Rum River Contracting $518,700.60 <br />Hardrives, Inc. $534,624.07 <br />T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. $541,500.85 <br />North Valley, Inc. $542,111.63 <br />Park Construction Company $544,621.80 <br />Valley Paving, Inc. $555,912.60 <br />Midwest Asphalt Corporation $600,280.40 <br />Engineer's Opinion of Cost $565,650.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Rum River Contracting is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Rum <br />River Contracting, in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the 2014 <br />Mill and Overlay Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the City <br />Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid <br />Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this day of , 2014. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />and was duly seconded by Council Member and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />
