• <br />• <br />• <br />BUDGET WORK SESSION SEPTEMBER 11, 1997 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />DATE September 11, 1997 <br />TIME STARTED 5:45 p.m. <br />TIME ENDED 5:57 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT Council Members Bergeson and Kuether and <br />Mayor Landers <br />MEMBERS ABSENT Council Members Lyden and Neal <br />Staff members present: Finance Director, Mary Vaske; City Administrator, Randy <br />Schumacher and Clerk -Treasurer Marilyn Anderson. <br />The purpose of the meeting was to review the 1998 General Fund Budget. <br />Ms. Vaske noted that a preliminary budget and a preliminary levy w <br />Monday, September 8th. The budget did not include provision, <br />the new civic buildings. She presented revised informatio <br />enough money in TIP funds to cover the 1998 paymf <br />d on <br />ent for <br />at there was <br />er bonds. <br />Mr. Schumacher noted that Anoka Count wi erty values a total of 5% <br />for taxes payable in 1998. This will rlevy revenue for the City. <br />However, if the City Council w ; r • e 1998, the proposed budget will need <br />additional refinement. Council Member Kuether moved to adopt <br />Resolution No. 97 - 116A as presented. Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Bergeson moved to adopt Resolution No. 97 - 117A as presented. <br />Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution Nos. 97 - 116A and 97 - 117A can be found attached to these minutes. <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that the City received the State's revised figures for the 1998 <br />levy limit and state aid. The 1998 Budget will be updated using the revised figures. <br />Council Member Kuether asked if she could be covered under the City's health insurance <br />program.
