Council wanted further discussion regarding where antenna towers could be <br />placed. Staff had explained that Council could regulate the placement of antenna towers <br />based on districts. However, Council could not prohibit them entirely. <br />Many suggestions regarding where antenna towers could be placed were presented <br />including Council Member Lyden's suggestion that they be placed on the water towers <br />only. Mr. Brixius explained that this was too restrictive and the City would face a legal <br />challenge. <br />Mr. Wessel explained that the EDA will be unhappy if the Council decides to limit <br />• antenna towers to the commercial and industrial districts.
