There has been a great deal of
vandalism and garbage left on the frozen lake and area residents requested that the
municipalities fund a more intensive patrol of the lake in an effort to keep the lake clean.
A committee was formed and Council Member Kuether was appointed to the committee
as the Lino Lakes representative. The committee prepared guidelines for patrol and each
municipality was asked to help fund the additional patrol.
Council Member Kuether noted that what the committee wanted accomplished did not
happen. She suggested that the City withdraw from this organization and not pay the fee.
Mr. Chief Pecchia noted that the Sheriff's Department is required by State Statute to
patrol the lake. Since the lake will continue to be patrolled, Mr. Schumacher was directed
to write to White Bear Township and let them know that Lino Lakes is no longer
interested in the patrol and will not be paying its fee.
SET DATE FOR NEXT BUDGET MEETING, RANDY S
The next budget meeting was set for November 18,
Taxation meeting is set for December 4, 1997.
REGULAR AGENDA
There were no further qu
The meeting wa 'ou t 7: ' p.m.
These minutes w o ldered,
corrected
ouifcil.
d and approved at a re: , Council meeting held
on July 12, 1999.
Marilyn G.
