• <br />COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 23, 1997 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />DATE April 23, 1997 <br />TIME STARTED 5:30 p.m. <br />TIME ENDED 7:20 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT Council Members Kuether, Lyden, Neal <br />and Mayor Landers <br />MEMBERS ABSENT Council Member Bergeson <br />Staff members present: City Administrator, Randy Schumacher, City Engineer, David <br />Ahrens; Planning Coordinator, Mary Kay Wyland; Community Development Director, <br />Brian Wessel; Chief of Police, David Pecchia; Accountant, Paula Schloer and Clerk - <br />Treasurer Marilyn Anderson. <br />CONSIDERATION OF A WELLNESS PLAN, PAULA SCHLOER <br />Ms. Schloer explained that the Wellness Plan was discussed a • 97 work <br />session and staff was directed to provide additional info osing a <br />program with four (4) options: <br />III1. Fitness screening through North F. <br />2. Free wellness seminars offeree •phi_ >'s employee assistance program. <br />3. Pre -approved Lino Lake g . s at no cost. <br />4. Exchange of sick 1 v1 ; : t ub embership cost up to a certain value. <br />Staff noted that t <br />fund area. <br />f • ` he program in the 1997 General Fund undesignated <br />Council discussed a merits of the program. The general consensus was that a wellness <br />program would be beneficial to the employees. <br />This item was added to the agenda for the April 28th Council meeting. <br />20/20 ADVISORY GROUP UPDATE, MARK LINDBLAD <br />At the last Council work session, Mr. Lindblad gave the Council a copy of the proposed <br />changes to the 20/20 Vision document and asked Council for their input. He noted that <br />by-laws for this group would be completed at their next meeting. <br />Council did not have further comments about the document. <br />• Mr. Lindblad noted that the document would continue to change as membership on the <br />committee changes. He will be meeting with staff to prepare recommendations regarding <br />PAGE 1 <br />
