• <br />• <br />• <br />COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 27, 1997 <br />OLD BUSINESS - None. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Recognition of the Economic Development Promotional Award, Randy Schumacher - Mr. <br />Schumacher reported the City of Lino Lakes was recently named a winner in the American <br />Economic Development Council (AEDC) 1997 Sales Literature and Promotional materials <br />awards competition and received an "Excellent" award for its "General Purpose Promotion," for <br />creating a positive image of the City through a series of promotional items. The City also won <br />Honorable Mention for the Lino Lakes poster in the "Memento" category. Mr. Schumacher <br />recognized Mr. Wessel and his staff for receiving this award from the 1,100 entries that <br />competed in this category. <br />Mr. Wessel thanked the Council and stated the credit really should go to Community <br />Development Assistant Mary Alice Divine and David Gredzens, who were the Graphic <br />Designers that designed the promotional material. He reported on an invitation -only urbanization <br />conference he will be attending in Toronto, Canada, and explained the types of topics to be <br />addressed. <br />Mayor Landers extended his appreciation. <br />ADJOURN <br />Council Member Kuether moved to adjourn at 9:25 P.M.
