• <br />• <br />• <br />LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />MINUTES <br />DATE February 18, 1998 <br />TIME STARTED : 5:00 P.M. <br />TIME ENDED 9:20 P.M. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT Sullivan, Neal, Bergeson, Dahl <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: : Lyden <br />Staff members present: Assistant to the City Administrator, Dan Tesch, City <br />Engineer/Public Works Director, Dave Ahrens, Community Development Director, Brian <br />Wessel, Interim City Administrator, Dave Pecchia, Finance Director, Mary Vaske, <br />Deputy Clerk, Jean Viger <br />1. Review of Council Chambers within the New City Hall, Brian Wessel (Brian <br />presented a sketch drawing of the Civic Campus. He explained the layout of <br />the public portion (council chambers, lounge, restrooms, edit room etc.) of <br />the New City Hall and asked Council for input or comments. Mayor <br />Sullivan asked if there was seating for 200 anywhere. Leonard Parker said <br />"no" but the council chambers seats approximately 100 and with TV <br />cameras in the lounge area any overflow would be able to see and hear the <br />meeting without a problem. Mayor Sullivan also had a concern with the size <br />of the council workroom. Mr. Parker replied that the room would seat <br />18 comfortably but that the exterior wall of the room could be extended if <br />necessary. <br />2. Civic Campus Update -Interior Design Contract, Brian Wessel (Brian introduced <br />Sarah Weiner, a member of TLPA interior design team, and explained that <br />Sarah has been part of the team from the beginning. She is familiar with the <br />entire project and with her commitment, the experience of TLPA Interior <br />Design Team and the competitive fee, Brian recommends we contract with <br />The Leonard Parker Associates for the interior design services. The contract <br />would include the New City Hall and the Police Department. <br />3. 21st Avenue Street and Utility Improvements, Dave Ahrens, (Mr. Ahrens <br />presented a map showing the project location and explained that the project <br />would be phased. He indicated that the first phase would begin at Main <br />Street and extend south approximately 800 feet. He stated that John Powell, <br />
