COUNCIL MINUTES MARCH S, 1999 <br />Centennial Fire District <br />March 2, 1999 Approved <br />Mayor Sullivan reminded those present of the guidelines for audience participation in City <br />Council meetings, emphasizing the need for respectful dialog. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />No one appeared for open mike. <br />Mayor Sullivan stated the City's newsletter contains a pull out section from the Parks <br />Department outlining activities for spring. She advised that page 13 contains the order form for <br />the annual tree sale sponsored by the Friends of the Parks Foundation. <br />Mayor Sullivan stated that Ms. Mary Stohmeyer, in conjunction with Police Officer Tim Ross, <br />have installed three (3) "No Passing on Shoulder" signs along Lake Drive. She thanked Ms. <br />Stohmeyer and Officer Ross for their help and participation. <br />Mayor Sullivan stated that a meeting regarding the proposed changes on Main Street will be held <br />by the County on March 10, 1999, 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in an open discussion <br />forum and citizen's comments are welcome. Citizens are to call City Hall or Anoka County for <br />additional information. <br />Mayor Sullivan advised that a recent study was conducted regarding public attitudes for urban <br />growth. Lino Lakes is way ahead regarding growth issues and is setting a trend relating to those <br />issues. <br />Mayor Sullivan stated the Lake Drive Trunk Utilitiesproject will be worked on this summer. <br />The utilities will be completed up to the Lino Lakes Elementary School by September 1, 1999. <br />Extended work hours will be needed to complete the project on time. Updates regarding the <br />project will be given to all residents. <br />Mayor Sullivan stated that the bill Senator Krentz is working on regarding school zone speed <br />limits passed the Senate General Session today. It will now go to the House Transportation <br />Committee for approval. <br />ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAN TESCH <br />Consideration of Annual Board Appointments - Upon adoption of the agenda, this item was <br />deleted. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 99 - 11, Transfer of $30,000 from General Fund to Road <br />Reconstruction Fund - Mr. Tesch advised that Resolution No. 99 - 11 will transfer $33,730.00 <br />dollars from the Excess Reserve Fund to the Road Reconstruction Fund. <br />2 <br />
