COUNCIL MINUTES MARCH 8, 1999 <br />Mr. Asleson noted the Greenways Grant Application the City wishes to submit is being <br />submitted as a cooperative effort with the City of Hugo, only with separate grant applications. <br />The Rice Creek Watershed District will act as a supporting agency for both parties. <br />Council Member Bergeson moved to adopt Resolution No. 99 - 14, as presented. Council <br />Member Lyden seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Accepting Easement and Authorizing Payment for Lake Drive Trunk Utility <br />Improvements, John Powell - Mr. Powell stated easement negotiations are underway with <br />property owners throughout the length of the project which begins at Apollo Drive/Lilac Street <br />and extends to Lino Lakes Elementary School on Main Street, west of Lake Drive. Recently the <br />following property owners have signed Easement Grants for the project: <br />Theresa Krysinski <br />Henry and Patricia Amundson Parcel 12 and 12T <br />Parcel 16T <br />$2,000.00 <br />$4,768.00 <br />Staff recommended Council adopt Resolution No. 99 - 13, accepting the Easement Grants and <br />approving payment for the Lake Drive Trunk Utility Improvements. <br />Council Member Bergeson moved to adopt Resolution No. 99 13, as presented. Council <br />Member Lyden seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 99 - 13 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAN TESCH <br />Accept Resignation of CSO, Steve Bikke - Mr. Tesch stated CSO Steve Bikke has submitted a <br />letter of resignation from the Lino Lakes Police Department as a Community Service Officer. <br />Steve will become a full-time police officer with the City of Lino Lakes effective March 1, 1999. <br />Council Member Lyden moved to accept the resignation from CSO Steve Bikke, as presented. <br />Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of Conditional Job Offer to CSO, Kelly McCarthy - Mr. Tesch stated staff is <br />asking for the City Council to approve a conditional job offer based on Ms. McCarthy's <br />successful completion of Law Enforcement Skills Course, Post Licensure, Background Check, <br />and Medical and Psychological exam. <br />Mr. Tesch noted the start date for Ms. McCarthy as a full time officer is anticipated as August, <br />1999. <br />Council Member Lyden moved to approve a condition job offer to Ms. Kelly McCarthy, based <br />on successful completion of Law Enforcement Skills Course, Post Licensure, Background <br />4 <br />
