COUNCIL MINUTES APRIL 12, 1999 <br />Resolution No. 99 - 22 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />Authorize Staff to Begin Process to Recruit a Replacement for Retiring City Clerk, Linda <br />Waite Smith - Ms. Waite Smith advised that the current City Clerk is scheduled to retire at the <br />end of 1999. She recommended the process to replace the City Clerk begin now, with the intent <br />of having someone hired by July 1, 1999. <br />Ms. Waite Smith noted the funding for the partial year salary would come from the salary <br />budgeted to hire a Human Resources Technician in July, 1999. <br />Ms. Waite Smith advised that the position will be posted internally and externally. The position <br />is open to all City employees. <br />Council Member Lyden moved to authorize staff to begin the process to recruit'' @ ity Clerk. <br />Council Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimous <br />PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAVE PECCH A <br />Consideration of an Addition to the Lino Lakes City Code by Adopting a Tobacco <br />Ordinance - Sergeant Strege stated the Lino Lakes Police have'eperienced an increase in <br />juvenile tobacco violations.
