• <br />• <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />DATE <br />TIME STARTED <br />TIME ENDED <br />MEMBERS PRESENT <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />APRIL 21, 1999 <br />: April 21, 1999 <br />. 5:40 p.m. <br />. 11:12 p.m. <br />: Council Members Bergeson, Dahl, <br />Lyden, Neal, and Mayor Sullivan <br />: None <br />Staff members present: City Administrator, Linda Waite Smith; Administration Director, <br />Dan Tesch (part); City Engineer, John Powell (part); Community Development Director, <br />Brian Wessel; Planning Coordinator, Mary Kay Wyland; Public Sery ctor, Rick <br />DeGardner; Environmental and Forestry Coordinator, Marty As art), ity Planner, <br />Jeff Smyser; and City Clerk Marilyn Anderson <br />Mayor Sullivan noted the next Council work ses <br />1999, 5:30 p.m. Council Members have a list <br />be completed by May 4, 1999. <br />uesday, May 4, <br />ng the Finance Session to <br />GEORGE HOFF INVESTI z.: R SULLIVAN <br />A letter has been cei Hoff indicating the investigation may not be worth <br />pursuing becaus it ay not be able to collect a settlement. <br />Council directed . Waite Smith to instruct Mr. Hoff to drop the investigation. <br />WEEKLY MEETINGS, MAYOR SULLIVAN <br />Mayor Sullivan advised she will be having weekly meetings with Ms. Waite Smith to <br />discuss ways to improve communications and processes. <br />CLERK -TREASURER POSITION, MAYOR SULLIVAN <br />The Clerk -Treasurer will be retiring at the end of this year. When the City begins the <br />process of hiring another person for this position, it may be desirable to remove the <br />Treasurer's responsibilities from the job description. If Council decides to separate the <br />two responsibilities, a letter should be sent to the Charter Commission asking them to <br />amend the Charter in this area. <br />
