COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 24, 1999 <br />Mayor Sullivan reminded those present of the guidelines for audience participation in City <br />Council meetings, emphasizing the need for respectful dialog. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />No one appeared under open mike. <br />Mayor Sullivan announced that the City of Lino Lakes received a letter from the Anoka County <br />Commissioner, Margaret Langfeld, indicating the City has reached its recycling goals again this <br />year. <br />Mayor Sullivan stated students at the Lino Lakes Elementary School did some additional <br />plantings at the school and donated a tree in memory of a student that passed away. <br />Mayor Sullivan thanked the residents who volunteered to erect the play structure in Marshan <br />Park. Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried with Council Member Lyden voting no. <br />Resolution No. 99 - 35 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />Consideration of an Application for a Block Party, Glen Circle - A block party is planned for <br />Glen Circle June 12, 1999, 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Staff referred to a map that indicated the <br />location of the party and the property owners who signed the petition acknowledging they were <br />notified of the party. <br />2 <br />
