Council Member Bergeson seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of Request for Neighborhood Block Party, Ellen Court, Dan Tesch - A <br />request has been made to hold a block party the in the cul-de-sac, Ellen Court, on August 7, <br />1999, starting at 4:00 p.m. and ending at 10:00 p.m. Staff referred to a map showing the location <br />of the proposed party and the signed petition from property owners acknowledging they have <br />been notified of the party. <br />Both the Police Department and the Public Works Streets Department have been given <br />information about the party. The Public Works Department will provide barricades and the <br />applicants are making arrangements to have a police officer and a Centennial Fire Department <br />representative stop by the party. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 99 - 49, Authorizing Springsted to Refund Bond Issues - <br />Representatives of Springsted Public Finance Advisors have reviewed the City's outstanding <br />debt and identified three (3) bond issues that could be refinanced to achieve lower interest rates <br />and ultimate tax savings to City taxpayers. The potential savings over the life of the bonds are <br />estimated to be $200,000 after costs of issuances is paid. <br />Council Member Lyden moved to adopt Resolution No. 99 - 49, as presented.
