COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 24, 2000 <br />Item 1Ai, December 20, 1999, Council Minutes, was moved to Item 7A. <br />The amended agenda was approved as presented. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Council Member Dahl moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. Council Member <br />Carlson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />ITEM ACTION <br />DISBURSEMENTS: <br />December 1999 & January 2000 <br />(Check No. 57985 — 58107, in the amount of <br />$134,490.39 & $1,881,802.28 <br />December 13, 1999 <br />(Check No. 57589 - 57739, $286,465.44) <br />Centennial Fire District <br />January 18, 2000 oved <br />Approved <br />Resolution No. 2000 — 09, Amend' <br />2000 General Fund Budget Approved <br />Mayor Bergeson reminded th. of th guidelines for audience participation in City <br />Council meetings, emphasi -a n for respectful dialog. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Staff advised the Lino L es Police Department hired five (5) new officers in the calendar year <br />1999. Two (2) were C.O.P. Grant officers, and three (3) were hired to fill vacant positions. <br />Officers' Steve Bikkie, Travis Muyres, Kelly McCarthy, Dale Hager, and Melissa Hagert need to <br />take the Oath of Office. Staff provided a brief background on each officer. <br />Mayor Bergeson administered the oath of office and congratulated each new officer. <br />Mr. Tom Wos, 638 Aqua Circle, came forward and stated he has lived in the City for 13 months. <br />He stated he previously lived in Coon Rapids and changed the filter on his water system once <br />every year. The filter was always very clean. He stated he thought he would have to change the <br />filter once every year in Lino Lakes also. He presented the filter he removed after one year <br />commenting on how filthy it is. He suggested the Council look into a Citywide water system. <br />2 <br />
