CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 19, 2000 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />DATE : April 19, 2000 <br />TIME STARTED : 5:00 p.m. <br />TIME ENDED : 7:30 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member Carlson, Dahl, O'Donnell, <br />Reinert, and Mayor Bergeson <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : None <br />Staff members present: City Administrator, Linda Waite Smith; City Engineer, John <br />Powell; Public Services Director, Rick DeGardner; Planning Coordinator, Mary Kay <br />Wyland (part); Superintendent, Tom DeWolfe (part); Utilities Supe Tim <br />Hillesheim (part); and CMC City Clerk, Ry-Chel Gaustad (part) <br />PUBLIC SERVICE REVIEW, RICK DEGARDNE ' O �' IL <br />Staff distributed an information sheet regardin <br />Service Review. ''�+ 1 n ng the goals of each Department. <br />Council Member R inert red a out the number of new meters left to change out <br />within the City. S v + there are about 2400 left within the City to install. <br />Council Member Re rt inquired about an incentive to homeowners to change out more <br />meters. Rick advised the incentive related to the 66 residents with the old meters. Letters <br />have been sent to those homeowners. Staff is currently considering a financial penalty for <br />non-compliance. <br />Council Member Reinert suggested that a statement indicating there will be no excess <br />charges for changing to the new meter is included in a letter to residents. <br />The City Administrator advised the Council would have to adopt a specific policy <br />regarding no excess charges when the meter is changed. <br />Council Member Reinert inquired about the five-year Televising Program for the Entire <br />Sewer System. <br />1 <br />
