CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 19, 2000 <br />The City Administrator stated the minutes from the meeting reflect keeping the numbers <br />in the Plan in place because the City is determining development goals. The City is <br />proactive in determining its own development goals. <br />Council determined a Comprehensive Plan meeting will be held Friday, May 5, 2000, <br />7:00 a.m. <br />TOWN CENTER UPDATE, BRIAN WESSEL <br />Staff advised Council received an Economic Development update yesterday. Another <br />update will be given at the next Council work session. <br />Staff continued stating the Planning and Zoning Board reviewed the Design Standards at <br />the last meeting. The public hearing was continued to May 20, 2000. <br />TH 242/CSAH 14 ACCESS MANAGEMENT STUDY, JOHN POWELL <br />Staff advised the TH 242/CSAH 14 Access Management study a��� s at the last <br />Council work session. The study will be on the Council ag f a° . n Monday, <br />April 24, 2000. <br />Mayor Bergeson advised that part of the docu e concept of connecting <br />Lake Drive and Main Street more directly. H ' a co cept is vague with no time <br />line. <br />Staff advised a preliminary sco + o cti the two roads has been prepared. It <br />should be completed in the ee <br />Mayor Bergeson a d i'i'`cil sould wait to approve the study until the preliminary <br />scope for that area <br />Staff recommended study be approved. The process for the Lake Drive/Main Street <br />connection will continue. <br />Council Member Carlson requested clarification regarding existing access points. Staff <br />advised the existing access points will not necessarily be changed. The goal is a to <br />implement the principles in the study for future accesses. <br />This item will appear on the regular Council agenda Monday, April 24, 2000, 6:30 p.m. <br />STREET RECONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE, JOHN POWELL <br />Staff advised the Charter Commission has given a recommendation regarding multiple <br />road projects on City elections.
