• limits on tort liability per MN <br />Statute 466.04 Approved <br />• <br />OPEN MIKE <br />National Night Out Proclamation, Kent Strege - Staff advised National Night Out was <br />designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support and <br />participation in local anticrime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police - <br />community relations and send a message to criminals letting them know their <br />neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Residents lock their doors, turn on their <br />outside lights from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and get together with their neighbors. <br />National Night Out is for all neighborhoods and businesses in Lino Lakes, not just <br />established neighborhood watch groups. <br />Staff requested the Council acknowledge and read the proclamation in support of <br />designating August 1, 2000, as National Night Out in the City of Lino Lakes. <br />Mayor Bergeson read a portion of the National Night Out procl <br />Council Member Carlson moved to approve support of <br />2000. The City is currently waiting for <br />feedback from the County. <br />Mr. Hudgens stated he currently became aware of the fact that the project is much larger <br />than two (2) miles. He asked if everyone that is being affected has been notified. <br />
